Over/under soccer predictions for major leagues
We are heading to Slovakia where Slovan Bratislava hosts Manchester City in a game from the league stage of the Champions League. Stay with us and our Over/under soccer predictions for major leagues.
Let’s start with Slovan here. The Slovakians lost their first match in the competition in a spectacular way – 1-5 against Celtic at the Celtic Park. Kevin Wimmer scored against the Scottish side, but at the end Celtic dominated the match and didn’t leave any chances to Slovan.
Now the head coach Vladimir Weiss has an even bigger issue ahead of him – facing one of the best teams in the world. Slovan are certainly not on Man City’s level, but they have to try to do well in front of their own fans.
Manchester City will go through their Champions League campaign without one of their most important players – Rodri. The influential Spanish midfielder is out for the season with a knee injury. And his absence led to a 1-1 draw against Newcastle in the Premier League last weekend. Man City are just a different team without him on the pitch.
What could Pep Guardiola change in his line-up compared to the 1-1 draw against Newcastle? The obvious answer is to play attacking players such as Jeremy Doku, Savinho and Phil Foden. These three started from the bench against the Magpies, but now they look ready to return in the starting eleven. John Stones could return in the line-up as well.
Except of Rodri, Kevin De Bruyne also remains unavaliable for Manchester City. The Belgian maestro was replaced by Ilkay Gundogan in the line-up against Newcastle.
That’s the Over/under soccer predictions for major leagues for the Champions League clash between Slovan Bratislava and Manchester City. It’d be quite shocking if the Cityzens don’t win this one, but let’s see – everything is possible in the Champions League.
